Sea Woven
Kim Leckey Aka. Sea Woven merges her love of the ocean and macrame with sustainability in mind to create her own style of fiber art. She specializes in using recycled, upcycled, and marine debris material to construct unique macra-weave projects that reflect the intricate timelessness of the West Coast shorelines.
Her recent work focuses on a collection of fibre art creations that reconstructs materials and debris collected from the shorelines of Vancouver Island. The goal of SALVAGED is to use these uniquely found objects and materials to create new artwork that is not only beautiful but also inspires the use of more disregarded ‘trash’ in new and innovative ways throughout all categories of industry. Explore her recent art installation work throughout Tofino and Ucluelet at Ouest Patisserie, Long Beach Lodge Resort, Gaia Grocery, and Blackberry Cove Health Food Store.
