What lies beneath the bog?

Question:  Why do 100-year-old bog trees look like artistic bonsai plants or big broccoli?

Meet our naturalist at 10am on Thursdays in October at the Lighthouse Loop Whale Lot Trailhead in Ucluelet for a FREE interpretive walk!

With the return of the rains, the bog is alive with colour & water flowing under the moss.  Discover the secrets of dwarf trees, carnivorous sundews and the unique plants that thrive above an acidic pool of water.  Explore our newest interpretive trail.
