This whale skeleton is a 25-foot Offshore Killer Whale, which is the least known of the 3 ecoytypes of Killer Whales, recovered off Tofino in 1997. She now travels the province as an ambassador for marine life and ocean protection. The entire display is hands-on, and visitors are encouraged to build the skeleton as they learn about killer whale biology, history, anatomy, diet, behavior and more!
