Help assemble an Orca skeleton with Strawberry Island Marine Research Society.  March 24th from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Picnic Shelter at Big Beach Park on the Wild Pacific Trail!  Click here for a printable map & schedule.

This whale skeleton is a 25-foot Offshore Killer Whale, which is the least known of the 3 ecoytypes of Killer Whales, recovered off Tofino in 1997.  She now travels the province as an ambassador for marine life and ocean protection.  The entire display is hands-on, and visitors are encouraged to build the skeleton as they learn about killer whale biology, history, anatomy, diet, behavior and more!
