Frank Adler is a single man raising a child prodigy — his spirited young niece Mary. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the seven-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother, whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate them. Mary’s teacher is a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well.

Monday Night Movies in Tofino is a weekly film series run by The Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre Association. One film each month is a social issue documentary, often with discussion afterwards. Doors open at 7:30 and shows begin at 8 pm every Monday. All proceeds from the door go to the CSCTA and are used to support the maintenance of, and programming in, the theatre. We hold two public performance licenses from Criterion Pictures in Vaughan, ON and Audio-Cine Films, Inc.in Montreal. There is also an All Organic Concession, serving Popcorn, Movie Bars & Tea.
