Join the coastal celebration! The festival, now in its 32nd year, honours the annual migration of over 20,000 Gray Whales past our shores. Over the years, the festival has grown to feature events including educational discussions/panels, concerts, Maritime Kids Days, culinary events and more.

March 10: Whalefest kick off and Parade, Tofino
March 10: Special Guest Speaker (sponsored by Ocean Outfitters), Tofino Join Ian McAllister for an evening of exploration, research and wildlife conservation.
March 10 – 23: West Coast Photo Showdown – the 30 top photos will be printed and on display at the Gray Whale Deli, Ucluelet
March 17: Barnacle Blues (St Patrick’s Day), Black Rock Resort, Ucluelet
March 18: Chowder Chow Down, Ucluelet Community Centre
March 18: SeaChange Panel, Global Warming! What does it mean for our oceans?
March 21: Maritime Kids Day, with special guests BOBS AND LOLO, Tofino
March 22: Maritime Kids Day, with special guests BOBS AND LOLO, Ucluelet
March 25: Closing events at Wickaninnish Beach & Kwisitis Centre, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
