On Sunday, October 21, 2018, the 2018 PromoScience Expedition will bring the Coast Guard research ship, the CCGS Vector, to Ucluelet! It will be docking along the Ucluelet Aquarium Dock and will be offering free tours to the general public between 12:30pm-4:00pm. The ship will be loaded with a crew of scientists, marine research equipment and displays of research from the area surrounding our ports of call.

 Local educational, government and environmental organizations will be there to share their research and offer interactive learning activities.

Where:  Ucluelet Aquarium Dock (Board the ship and visit the Ucluelet Aquarium (free admission all day).

When:  October 21, 12:30pm to 4:30pm

What: Board the ship at Ucluelet Aquarium Dock and join us at the Ocean Fair hosted by West Coast NEST and Clayoquot Biosphere Trust: community research and coastal issues.

Free transportation to the Ucluelet event from Esowista, Ty-Histanis & Hitacu

  • Esowista and Ty-Histanis Shuttle
    Leaves at 8:30am, 11:30am, 2:15pm from Esowista Entrance with stop at Ty-Histanis Health Centre. Returns at 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm
  • Hitacu Shuttle
    Leaves Hitacu on the Nootka Princess 12:30, 1:30, 2:30. Returns 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm
