This evening, David Leverton, Director of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia, will give a presentation relating to the travelling exhibit SS Princess Sophia.
This Canadian Pacific Railway passenger-liner travelled up and down the Pacific Northwest Coast, linking communities from Victoria, BC to Skagway, Alaska. It transported soldiers, miners, travellers, and commuters until it ran aground on the Vanderbilt Reef in 1918. Join us at this event to learn more about the SS Princess Sophia’s story and historic influence.

Access to Hot Springs Cove in Maquinna Provincial Park is currently closed for trail and boardwalk repair. The Park is due to re-open on February 1, 2019.
