The 4th Annual Tofino Winterlights Festival is a celebration of light and art presented by Tofino Botanical Gardens. The festival runs nightly from 5pm – 9 pm, November 29th, 2019 – January 5th, 2020.
On December 27th enjoy Haida Loop Poet & Wholesome*MC Ms.PAN!K as she creates dynamic soundscapes with her guitar, voice & loop station. Rich layered vocal harmonies stacked on looped-melodies are mixed with conscious rhymes and her soul-full lyrics creating experimental loop poetry.
Her Femme-Powered – Loop pedal-driven productions are overlaid with lyrics that confront her own fundamentals of self-reflection: learning to honor yourself, and accepting what makes you who you are amidst a chaotic ever shifting socio-cultural landscape.
Her singer songwriter sessions feature soul-full acoustic originals.
K’iinduu- Aus is originally from the unceded territory of her Xaayda Ancestors on Haida Gwaii. Member to the K̲aayahl ‘Laanaas Clan — She raised in the Village of Skidegate on the beautiful and remote island archipelago of Haida Gwaii on the wild west coast of what is now called British Columbia, Canada.
