2024 Tourism Industry Association of Canada's Tourism Congress
The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) held their annual Tourism Congress in Vancouver last week.
Brad Parsell (Executive Director, Tourism Tofino) was in attendance representing Tofino and had many productive meetings with partners including Destination International's Canadian Destination Leadership Council, the BC Destination Management Organization Association, 4VI, BC Ministry of Tourism, Arts Culture & Sport, some of our agencies and many other folks from the Canadian tourism industry. The sessions at the conference were interesting and focused on topics like the touism workforce, AI, and ensuring Canada's tourism competiveness in a changing political landscape.
It was great to catch up with some members too including Victoria Leader (Account Manager) from member business Harbour Air (pictured above with Brad and scuba Santa at the Welcome Reception).
Attending these events help Tourism Tofino remain a leading Destination Organziation for our community by strengthening relationships, keeping up witrh industry trends, and learning best practices.
