Event Calendar Refresh!

Our website got a spring refresh!

We have made it easier for visitors and locals to scroll through upcoming event listings. Here's how: 

• We have opted for a grid view of the calendar (instead of banner event listings) so that more events are visible without going to the next page
• We have added "Featured Events"
  • These are signature festivals or events*, usually with multiple sub-events over several days

Currently, the Pacific Rim Whale Festival is listed as the "Featured Event" at the top of the page (can be up to 2 at a time). When you click "See Details," the landing page acts as an umbrella to view all associated events for the festival.

If no festivals are imminent (like during the summer months), we can replace this feature with a header image, as before.
