This accessibility checklist includes inclusivity features, attributes for people with mobility needs, visual and/or hearing requirements and/or diverse cognitive or sensory abilities. - The Tofino Visitor Centre receives frequent inquiries regarding business accessibility features.
- Guests may borrow one of two beach wheelchairs at no cost from the Tofino Visitor Centre.
- Almost 50% of people aged more than 60 have a disability (UNDESA, 2022)
- Travellers with disabilities tend to travel accompanied by 2 to 3 travel companions (Bowtell, 2015)
- 2/3 of people with disabilities in developed economies are likely to have means to travel (based on Bowtell, 2015)
