Include accessibility features in your Tourism Tofino and HelloBC business listings!
Even if you feel your business is not accessible for someone with mobility needs, it may be accessible for someone with other requirements.
This accessibility checklist includes inclusivity features, attributes for people with mobility needs, visual and/or hearing requirements and/or diverse cognitive or sensory abilities. Fill out the checklist for your existing attributes to be added to your Tourism Tofino and Hello BC Business listings!

Did you know..?
- The Tofino Visitor Centre receives frequent inquiries regarding business accessibility features.
- Guests may borrow one of two beach wheelchairs at no cost from the Tofino Visitor Centre.
- Almost 50% of people aged more than 60 have a disability (UNDESA, 2022)
- Travellers with disabilities tend to travel accompanied by 2 to 3 travel companions (Bowtell, 2015)
- 2/3 of people with disabilities in developed economies are likely to have means to travel (based on Bowtell, 2015)
- 20% of Canadians (and the world) have a visible or invisible, permanent or temporary disability. While a small segment of this population may not be able to travel due to acute mental or extreme physical disabilities, most DO want to travel and have money to spend.
