A new edition of the Welcome to Tofino brochure, a guide to a respectful and enjoyable vacation is now available.
The guide introduces the updated ʔiisaak pledge, including four Tla-o-qui-aht teachings and laws that have been instrumental in preserving and shaping the haḥuułi (Territory) of the ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht) ḥaw̓iiḥ (Hereditary Chiefs), and its people over many generations.
It also provides responsible visitation tips and resources such as being “CoastSmart”, conserving water, keeping dogs on leash, adhering to fireworks and beach fire regulations, and more.
