Tourism Tofino attends Travel Media Conference

Earlier this month, Danielle, our Travel Media Relations and Business Development Manager, attended the 30th anniversary of the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) which included their annual conference taking place in St. John's, Newfoundland. TMAC is a member-based association, which is made up of accredited travel media and tourism industry professionals in Canada. 

During the conference, she had the opportunity to network with over 100 journalists, editors, bloggers, and podcasters, while connecting directly with 24 of them during pre-scheduled 1 on 1 speed dating-style appointments. The appointments were chosen based on the journalists interest and fit with our key marketing initiatives.  Some of the main topics discussed were based on new businesses, Indigenous experiences, outdoor adventure - including hiking, kayaking and wildlife viewing, responsible tourism, and wellness.
