Washed up Wednesday Beach Cleans
In collaboration with Surfrider Pacific Rim, join us each Wednesday this summer for a Washed up Wednesday Beach Clean!
Beach Cleans take place each Wednesday from 11am – 2pm, with the location changing weekly. The 4 remaining beach cleans are:
July 31: North Chesterman / nan̓ ak̓ ʷuuʔa (na-na-kwuu-a)
Aug 7: MacKenzie Beach / tinuwis (ti-nu-wis) *Hellesen Drive access
Aug 14: South Chesterman / Yuʔatu (yu-atu)
Aug 21: Cox Bay / č’aḥayis (cha-ha-yis) *Maltby Road access
Participants have a chance to win a complimentary 3-night stay for two at the award-winning Wickaninnish Inn, home to rugged coastal beauty, old-growth rainforest, fresh local cuisine and expansive views of the open ocean and beautiful Chesterman Beach.
We hope you can share this open event with your staff and guests. We encourage them to walk, bike, or take the free summer shuttle to reduce emissions and parking congestion. You’ll find us down on the beach by the main access trail…Look for the Tourism Tofino tent.
