West Coast Frog Chorus Spring 2026

Do you love the love the annual chorus of frogs heralding the spring as much as we do?

Help us map breeding locations for the Pacific Tree Frog!

We've set up an iNaturalist Project called "West Coast Frog Chorus Spring 2026" to collect sounds of Pacific Treefrogs calling at their breeding sites.

To Participate, download and open the iNaturalist app

1. Make an account (free!)

2. Go to Menu → Projects

3. Search “West Coast Frog Chorus Spring 2026”

When you hear frogs calling, simply record the sound, ID it as a Pacific Chorus Frog and submit it.

No need to find or photograph the frogs—We are sure the males would prefer if you did NOT interrupt their courtship vibes.

Your recordings help us map local breeding spots around Tofino, Ucluelet, and Bamfield, and we’ll share the info with planners and road crews to help protect the wetlands these tiny crooners call home.
