Get to know Tourism Tofino and how we plan and execute the work of marketing and destination management of Tofino.

Tofino Destination Stewardship Plan

In 2025, Tourism Tofino in partnership with Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation and the District of Tofino completeted the Tofino Destination Stewardship Plan. The purpose of the project was to develop a replacement for the 2014 Tofino Tourism Master Plan that would distill a community vision for the long-term future of the tourism industry in the Tofino area. The final plan is a simple, decolonized, plain language document based on community priorities and values. The plan will guide Tourism Tofino, Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, the District of Tofino and the Tofino tourism industry in future strategies, policies, projects and planning related to tourism. The plan was informed by unprecedented engagement with the industry and community including surveys, open houses, workshops, interviews, conversations, research and other engagement. The Tofino Destination Stewardship Plan is called 'ʔiisaak - Tofino Stands For Respect'.
