Restroom Route
Last October, the community came together to discover, support, and celebrate gender-inclusive local businesses through the “Swap the Signs” Restroom Route.
Participants checked in via GPS at Tofino businesses supporting Coastal Queers’ “Swap the Signs” campaign by switching gendered washroom signage to gender-inclusive signage. Every check-in brought participants closer to winning prizes, all while celebrating diversity and helping build a welcoming community for everyone.
Throughout October, participants explored Tofino, checked in at inclusive and ally businesses, and entered to win draw prizes, like a 1-night stay at Pacific Sands Beach Resort, 2 round-trip tickets with Hullo Ferry, a brunch certificate for Heartwood Kitchen Food Outfitter, and more!
