T’ashii is a Tla-o-qui-aht word meeing “path on land or water,” at T’ashii paddle school our vision is to create a path to learning and connection with the natural environment through paddling. 

Join us for a paddling adventure and experience a unique side of Tofino.

We offer FIRST NATIONS CANOE TOURS and STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING. In various locations around Tofino (one of the villages in Tla-o-qui-aht territory). 

First Nations Canoe Tours

An authentic Nuu-chah-nulth guided tour: Join a Nuu-chah nulth guide and paddle a real hand craft dugout canoe. Learn about Nuu-chah-nulth culture while exploring Meares Island and Clayoquot Sound.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Beginner to Advanced tours and lessons: Explore new areas of Tofino on a stand-up paddleboard. From beginner friendly instructional tours to advanced lessons in the surf and tidal currents, paddling with us is all about relaxing, exploring, and having fun!

T’ashii Paddle School is a First Nation owned company and a proud supporter of Tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks. 1% of revenue is donated to the Tribal Parks to help support this grassroots initiative for First Nation led sustainability in Tla-o-qui-aht Ha’Houlthee.
