Tofino is a true food lovers destination. Culinary talent is drawn to the coast for the plethora of ingredients that inspire the elevated dining experience found here.
The commitment to local produce and sustainability is evident in the spirit of many local growers, producers, and chefs. Tasting menus rotate with the seasons, seafood is harvested with care, and thoughtfulness is taken to provide visitors with food that is as local as possible.
Seasonal flavours
Inspired by the bounty of this locale, many chefs here strive to incorporate ingredients from the area in their creations. Seasonally focused menus place a spotlight on foraged mushrooms, oysters, fiddleheads, salal berries, and more. Brewers and distillers infuse libations with local ingredients, too. Tofino Brewing Co.’s Kelp Stout or seasonal Spruce Tree Ale are must-try brews, while the Old Growth Cedar Gin and West Coast Whiskey from Tofino Distillery are some of the many premium spirits crafted in this small town.
Eat & drink in TofinoA true Tofino success story, the Tofino Ucluelet Culinary Guild (TUCG) makes access to Vancouver Island and regional independent farm and food products easier and more sustainable for restaurants, grocery stores, and residents here.
Festivals to wine and dine

Tofino Wine and Dine is a two-day celebration in June that brings chefs, purveyors, winemakers, growers, brewers, and distillers together. For an elevated event of bubbles, live music, and oysters, the Tofino Oyster Fest in November is the place to be. Dress up for the Mermaid’s Ball, sample oysters and watch the Shucker’s Showdown during this three-day celebration.
