Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre (on Campbell Street, across from the Village Green)
$8 per ticket at the door. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
During the summer of 1979, a Santa Barbara single mom and boarding-house landlord (Annette Bening) decides the best way she can parent her teenage son is to enlist her young tenants – a quirky punk photographer, a mellow handyman, and her son’s shrewd best friend – to serve as role models in a changing world.
Annette Bening’s performance drew much praise.
Monday Night Movies in Tofino is a weekly film series run by The Clayoquot Sound Community Theatre Association. One film each month is a social issue documentary, often with discussion afterwards. Doors open at 7:30 and shows begin at 8 pm every Monday. All proceeds from the door go to the CSCTA and are used to support the maintenance of, and programming in, the theatre.
