Tofino’s coastal temperate climate allows for cycling throughout the year! Do as many of the local residents do and ride to town or to the beaches on the Multi-Use Path.

Pay parking is in effect at beaches within the District of Tofino, that is,
Cox Bay Beach, at Maltby Road, and the public access by the entrances to Long Beach Lodge and Cox Bay Beach Resorts, Chesterman Beach, at the South Chesterman and North Chesterman parking lots, and Lynn and Chesterman Beach Roads, Thornberg Crescent and Osprey Lane.
MacKenzie Beach (at the Hellesen Drive public access), and
Tonquin Beach, at Tonquin Park Road.  Use this Tofino Beach Pay Parking Map to view pay parking areas.

In Town:
Parking is limited in the town core. To keep things running smoothly, keep an eye on time limit signs and respect business, loading and residential parking zones.  Pay parking for vehicles (including RVs under 20ft) is available adjacent to the Municipal Office at 121 Third Street, see map. Recreational Vehicles: Recreational Vehicle (RV), motorhome and camper parking is available in town but limited to designated areas – scroll to the bottom of this page for info.  Follow directional signage to find the appropriate locations

Boat Trailer parking:  Parking for boat trailers and vehicles is regularly unavailable, at Tofino boat launches.   Visitors are advised to arrange parking at their accommodation.

At the beaches: Pay parking is in effect.  Please read the information below:

 

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve: Park use passes are required for access and parking to Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Hourly and day pass tickets are available for purchase at machines in designated parking areas. Annual passes are available at the Park Administration Centre year-round and seasonally at the Kwistis Visitor Centre at Wickanninish Beach.

Boat Trailer parking: Parking for boat trailers and vehicles is extremely limited, and regularly is not available, at Tofino boat launches. Visitors are advised to arrange parking at their accommodation.

charging stations

There are charging stations throughout Tofino, listed below. Some chargers are for use by in-house accommodation guests only. Consult the PlugShare app or website for detailed info.

sani-dump

The sani-station in Tofino is located at the Co-op gas station and the fee is a total of $5.60. If you also purchase gas, then the use of the sani-dump is free. Green Point campground in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve has one, reserved for on-site campers.

Entry and service fees are charged at most national parks and national historic sites, where revenues are kept to support visitor services and facilities.

This *free* hop on – hop off summer shuttle runs every summer between Tofino’s village centre and Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Service runs June 24 to September 4 2023.
